Abstract
The article investigates the impact of sanctions on the trade, economic and investment cooperation between Russia and Germany. Authors analyze the trends of trade turnover changes between Russia and Germany, as well as between Russia and the European Union for identifying the role of Germany in the regional integration process, and come to the conclusion of the Germany’s domination in the EU trade policy. The authors reveal the fields of cooperation, which are influenced by the sanctions the most, as well as describe their economic effect for Russia and Germany. In conclusion, the authors emphasize the different visions of Germany and in the framework of the European Union with regard to cooperation with Russia, in particular in the investment sphere.
