Abstract

The death of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, an official announcement which appeared in the second half of the day September 2 - involuntarily forced to wonder about his successor and most importantly, about the continuity of the course. Externally, in the country there is peace and order. Islam Karimov has built a stable system, authoritarian regime. This stability is due to the pragmatism of the Uzbek members of the junta. A special role in the economy and politics of Uzbekistan plays a clan system which has evolved over the last 100-120 years according to the territorial principle and immigrants, which today represent the political elite of the country. The article examines Elite struggle and the stability of the political regime in Uzbekistan available today.
