Abstract
The authors analyze the advantages and disadvantages of some possible models for expanding the boundaries of Moscow City: the association of Moscow City and the Moscow region into a single subject of the Russian Federation, the uniformly expansion of the city boundaries at the expense of the Moscow region, the creation of a satellite town, and the ongoing accession of the specially designated part of the Moscow region territory to Moscow City.
