Abstract
The developments of conservatism in many respects are conditioned by political changes, descending in society. The main problem of conservatism is to correct these changes to not enable distribution of radical ideas and implementation of them in the actual political practice. The conceptual substantiation of the given approach to the social transformations has found the reflection in the works of Edmund Burke, British thinker of the 18th century. In diverse form the conservative concepts developed in German political thought of the 20th century.
