Abstract
In the given article is analyzed the influence of energy resources on geopolitical interests and foreign policy of Russia. The authors consider geopolitical competition of the great powers in Eurasian continent as determined mostly by struggle for control over energy resources. The authors also analyze foreign policy of Russian Federation as a tool of standing up national interests. The authors state that foreign policy of the great nations is becoming more and more determined by demand of energy resources.
