Abstract
Based on a comparative analysis, the article considers the political activities of the national leaders (Zviad Gamsakhurdia, Eduard Shevardnadze, Mikhail Saakashvili and Bidzina Ivanishvili) in the transitional period of Georgia. Through their personal qualities, the authors analyze the role of charismatic leaders and their place in the Georgian politics.
