Abstract
This paper deals with the fact of development and reconsideration of a symbol of the Russian literature - the Bastard - by the writer A. Zhaksylykov, the author of the novel “Singing Stones”. According toN.V. Pavlovich, images in literature don’t exist separately; they are included in a certain poetic paradigm. In this aspect interliterary correlation testifies to continuity of the esthetic and ontological principles in creation by the Author of an art ensemble. So, the protagonist of the novel “The Singing Stones” is correlated to the symbol of the Russian literature which is creatively mastered by A.S. Pushkin and developed byE.A. Boratynsky - with the Bastard. The intertextual overlapping used by the Author as an artistic touch “allocates” the main character with a variety of additional characteristics, makes it multidimensional and significant.
