Abstract
The article considers the issue of urban studies as a science capable of directing the economy. On the example of studying specific smart solutions: bike rental, online taxi, rental housing - the purpose of which is to improve the quality of life of people, it is analyzed how they contribute to the development of the economy, and the specifics of implementing “smart solutions” in different regions are studied according to a number of factors influencing the level of their distribution and development, the role of the private sector in this process is shown
