The article considers the issue of urban studies as a science capable of directing the economy.  On the example of studying specific smart solutions: bike rental, online taxi, rental housing - the purpose of which is to improve the quality of life of people, it is analyzed how they contribute to the development of the economy, and the specifics of implementing “smart solutions” in different regions are studied according to a number of factors  influencing the level of their distribution and development, the role of the private sector in this process is shown

В статье рассмотрен вопрос об урбанистике как науке, способной направлять экономику. На примере изучения  конкретных  умных решений (велопрокат, онлайн-такси, сдача жилья в аренду), целью которых является улучшение качества жизни людей, проанализировано, как они способствуют развитию экономики, а также изучена специфика реализации «умных решений» в разных регионах согласно ряду факторов, влияющих на уровень их распространения и развития, показана роль частного сектора в этом процессе.
