For all the achievements of the present-day science, we cannot tell yet with any degree of confidence as to what is going to happen to our terrestrial habitat even in the short-term future. One queries the putative scenarios for the development of the biosphere and the very prognostication to this effect. Nevertheless, we think it is possible to make relevant ecological forecasts and verify them. The main thing here is, preceding from geological data, to learn the biosphere, s mechanism of self-regulation. The point is that the biosphere, as modern sciences understands it, is an inhabited geological shell, or envelope; it is an open global dynamic system.

The article is based on the research results for FAP «Scientists and tutor-scientists of innovative Russia» in 2009-2013. It studies tectonics of Paleozoic part of West-Siberian sector of Ural-Mongol-Okhotsk belt.

A brief description of Middle Timan's bauxite region is done. An exploitation of those deposits became a momentous event in a development of the country economic potential at the beginning of the century.

It contains national and foreign models of localization of gold-porphyry deposits. Our concept for localization of ore in giant paleovolcanic structures is presented.

Key morphological features and quantitative parameters of mineralized structures which compose Petropavlovskoe lode gold deposit located in the northern part of the Voikar metallogenic unit are presented.

Mineralogical composition features of large copper-pyritic Yubileinoye deposit (slightly metamorphized and now exploited by open pit) are studied. Major ore structures include impregnated, spotted, banded, stringer structures. Two generations of chalcopyrite, sphalerite and quartz, and 3 generation of pyrite were found. Proper gold minerals occur as tiny isolations of native gold (fineness 631-662) in veinlets accompanied by tennantite-tetrahedrite and galena; the connection of native gold with these minerals is supported by close correlation Au with Pb, As and Sb in ore composition.

The article has been devoted to study of groundwater flow from mountain orogen areas to the intermountain artesian basin Heihe. According to the quantitative evaluation results of groundwater flow in the small rivers basins, on basis of using the total water balance, it is proved that within the accuracy of balance calculation underground inflow is almost absent.

Geochemical surveys are mainly aimed at defining oil and gas perspectives of structures, revealed by seismic methods, and if it is possible, defining type of hydrocarbons filling a trap - oil, gas, gas condensate.

In a light of present-day issues of reserves exploration in low-permeability reservoirs the development of theoretical ideas about the generation of hydrocarbon systems in terms of historical-genetic approach get another impulse to evolve. Distinguished factors that determine the evolution of petroleum systems of Kalmanovskiy depression are: tectonic, palaeogeographic, thermodynamic and pressure-thermal.
