Abstract
The article reveals a problem of hero in romantic text. Basic feature of a romantic hero is zero determination. Earlier philologists have demonstrated this feature as an example of epical romantic heroes. The article demonstrates a lyrical romantic text with the lyrical hero - tragically poem of Russian romantic poet Alexander Polezhaev “The song of the deadness shipper”, which has been written in 1828. This poem is distinct off the near of the thematic poem non-romantic poet Nikolay Jazykov “The shipper”. This poems reveal a conflict between “I” and “Non-I”. Hero in Jazykov’s poem is not zero determinated. Therefore, zero determinate gives romantic sense to the romantic hero.
