Abstract
The article is a case study of the 8th Colloquium of Spanish and Russian Historians as the example of cultural and scientific contacts between Spain and Russia. It became a platform for discussing innovative methods and approaches in historical studies. Among the Spanish historians who participated in the debates, were: L. López-Ocón Cabrera, R. Calvo Boveda, L. Caballero Zoreda, M.Á. Utrero Agudo, F. Fernández Izquierdo P.A. Garcia Bilbao and others.
