Abstract

Using complicated multi-element constructions while designing civil structures and bridges consisted of thin-walled bars with open cross-section faces problems connected with the constricted-torsion. Solution for the differential equation of the twisted thin-walled bar with allowance for shearing is obtained and compared to the classical Vlasov's theory.
