RUDN Journal of Sociology is a specialized scientific journal established in 2001. The Series was launched primarily due to the research activities of the staff of the Sociology Chair at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. The scope and range of research and teaching activities carried out at the Sociology Chair is comparable to the functions of a full-fledged sociology faculty, including broad cooperation with foreign research and educational institutions. The Editorial Board of the Series has been led by D.Sc (Sociology), Professor N.P. Narbut, head of the Sociology Chair since its establishment in 1992. The Editorial Board of the RUDN Journal of Sociology includes not only the leading Sociology Chair lecturers and famous Russian sociologists, but also many renowned scientists from the UK, China, Serbia and the Czech Republic.
