The article deals with the struggle of Great Britain, Germany, France and Spain for Morocco during the First Moroccan Crisis 1905, which is considered to be the first example of huge confrontation of Great powers for sultanate. The author singles out the internal critical phases, evaluates the results of the Conference of Algeciras for conflicting sides, and also parallels the local and European level of mutual relations between interested powers. The author gives special consideration to the role of Moroccan factor in the process of polarization of the system of international relations before the First World War.
