Abstract

The study is devoted to the problem of migration in the Federal Republic of Germany. It became particularly relevant when in 2015 a migration crisis broke out in Europe, which revealed Germany’s unreadiness for such a sharp increase in the migration flow. The article describes the impact of migrants on the socio-economic and political development of Germany, the current trends and problems of migration in the country, as well as the history of migration policy. Based on the data of the Federal statistical office, the author compares the resettlement of migrants in 16 Federal States for 2007 and 2017. As a result, it is concluded which factors affect the resettlement of migrants in Germany.
