Abstract
The article analyzes the problems of external debt of the Republic of Tajikistan. It is shown that the growing external debt is one of the main problems of Tajikistan, which was formed in the 1990s in the conditions of aggravation of the country's economic and political difficulties. However, even in the context of GDP growth, the external debt is also growing, which worsens the situation in the sphere of economic security of the country. The author suggests ways to solve this problem.
