Abstract
The article identifies and compares the main trends in the socio-economic development of two integration groups: the EEU and MERCOSUR. At the same time, the general vector of development is caused by the common desire of the EEU and MERCOSUR member states to influence the socio-economic sphere by the forces of the entire association. Among the main trends, one can single out relatively low rates of population growth, changes in GDP per capita and its structure, an increase in FDI, an increase in the HDI and different dynamics of the inflation rate. The author provides a qualitative and quantitative description of the trends in socio-economic development in the EEU and in MERCOSUR.
