Analysis of initial stresses in a sectorial-lattice dome during installation as an assembled structure in comparison with a star-lattice dome

Abstract

The article presents the results of a computer-based research on the nature of the initial stresses in the bars of one-layer sectorial-lattice dome that arise from the deformation of the framework during its erection as a wholly assembled structure. Comparative analysis of the possible initial internal forces in the bars has been performed for various cases of the initial support, as well as for different types of probabilistic combination of tolerances. Obtained results are compared with the results of a similar research performed earlier for the star-lattice dome.
