Abstract
The article deals with the origin of Mid-sarmatian culture in South Russia. Using of multivariate analysis of burials and relatively-typological analysis of main artifacts allows connecting genesis of this culture with the earlier Prokhorovka and Sargatian type antiquities. Author demonstrates invalidity of popular hypothesis about significant role of migration from Central Asia in origin of Mid-sarmatian culture.
