Abstract
For Russia, as well as for other developing countries, it is extremely important to develop regions that the financial and banking sector of the country developed not only in Moscow. It is necessary to develop not capital cities and to create in them workplaces, conditions comfortable for life, infrastructure. Forming of the regional financial centers (RFC) in the cities will lead to all-round development of the territory and will attract investments. In work the cities with the prospect of creation of RFTs in them on the basis of such indicators as total sales amount of the largest entities and assets of the largest banks of the Russian Federation come to light. The econometric model of interrelation of availability in the region of RFTs with the level of social and economic development on the basis of the level of unemployment and the size of the average per capita income of the population is constructed and analysed.
