Abstract

The article analyzes the main problems in the development of the modern automotive industry. Special attention is paid to new challenges for the domestic automotive industry associated with the reaction of unfriendly countries to their own. The study presents the directions of state management of the economy, reveals the main directions of the Strategy for the development of the automotive industry of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025. The purpose of the work is to determine the optimal set of tools for state regulation of the Russian automotive industry. To realize the purpose of the study, the following tasks were set: to analyze the current situation in the Russian automotive industry, to identify the main contradictions of its development, to consider possible tactics of the state's economic policy to overcome the crisis. Among the priorities are measures for preferential taxation of the automotive industry, direct financial support from the state, nationalization of the capacities of Western manufacturers who have left our country. Attention is drawn to the fact that state measures to support a number of sectors of the economy are a forced measure.
