Modern integration processes as development institutions: a theoretical aspect

Abstract

The article examines the transformational processes within the framework of regional integration associations of states with emerging markets, which became relevant in the 21st century due to the development of a number of global contradictions, on the one hand, and the desire of states and regional associations to reduce the level of threats. It is shown that the traditional theory of regional economic integration has failed to ensure the effectiveness of integration processes in associations of developing countries. The necessity of developing new theoretical and practical approaches to integration, including evaluating its effectiveness, is substantiated. At the same time, the author comes to the conclusion that regional economic integration remains no less important today than it was in the middle of the twentieth century and can contribute to solving important socio-economic problems of the member countries, acting as a promising development institution provided that new approaches are developed to its assessment and dynamics, as well as stages. the evolution of the integration process.
