Strengthening Regional Economic Integration by Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum

Abstract

This article is devoted to an analysis of the strengthening regional economic integration specificity in the area of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum and issues of the Russia's active participation in this process. The APEC Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministers and SOMs' joint report approved by 15th APEC Leaders Summit in Sydney, Australia, in September, 2007, gives clear understanding of a strategy aimed at strengthening regional economic integration, and reaffirming commitments to achieve fundamental APEC Bogor Goals (1994).
