Abstract


An iterative optimization scheme of metal beam structures is developed with using a genetic algorithm with alternative ways of forming populations and adaptive mutation operator, crossover and inversion. This algorithm allows solving large problems to avoid occurrence of "empty" populations, has a relatively low complexity and provides opportunity to obtain new rational decisions. The
