Аннотация

Панафинейский фриз Парфенона является основным источником в изучении торжественной панафинейской процессии. Она проводилась в день рождения Афины и являлась кульминацией праздника Великих Панафиней. На фризе изображены как участники процессии, так и олимпийские боги. Центральная сцена восточного фриза Парфенона посвящена главному акту священнодействия - передаче священного пеплоса от афинян богине. Пеплос готовили аррефоры и эргастины для статуи Афины Полиас в Эрехтейоне.
