First time, after the long break, the Conservatives broke the tendency of regional voting in Canada, and became the national party, which communicated the interests not only Canadian West voters, but Ontario and Quebec electorate as well. This was the first step to the election victory of Conservatives in 2006, when Steven Harper formed the minority government.Статья посвящена участию новой объединенной Консервативной партии Канады в парламентских выборах 2004 г. Впервые, после длительного перерыва, консерваторам удалось переломить тенденцию регионализации голосования в Канаде, выступить в качестве центристской общенациональной партии, способной отвечать интересам избирателей не только канадского Запада, но также густонаселенных провинций Онтарио и Квебека. Это явилось первым шагом на пути консерваторов к их победе на всеобщих выборах 2006 г., когда С.
