The photo of flat cracks and the mechanism of their formation is resulted. Presumably they are formed at high-speed unloading of the rock loaded in limits I will rest-gih deformations.</abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru">Анализируются условия возможности образования плоской трещины параллельной полупространству с позиций теории трещин и механики разрушения. Приводится фотография плоских трещин и механизм их формирования.
