Examples of air-supported and air-bearing coverings are presented. Both the first pneumatic structures of the 40th years of the XX century and the structures of different modifi- cations, forms, and diverse purposes presented in the XXI century are given</abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru">Цель настоящей статьи - дать краткую информацию о состоянии дел в области проектирования, применения и классификации пневматических сооружений с макси- мальным привлечением иллюстративного материала. Приводятся примеры воздухо- опорных и воздухонесомых покрытий.
