The author points out to the insufficient co-ordination between the efforts of theoretical conceptualization of career-related issues and the empirical studies of this subject. The author analyzes the most promising directions for further career research in terms of Bourdieu's theory of social space. Primarily, the author focuses on elaborating the concepts of career field and career capital related to it.</p>
В первую очередь речь идет о разработке понятия «карьерное поле» и связанного с ним понятия «карьерный капитал».</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>career</kwd><kwd>career field</kwd><kwd>career capital</kwd><kwd>sociological theories</kwd><kwd>empirical study</kwd><kwd>Bourdieu</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>карьера</kwd><kwd>карьерное поле</kwd><kwd>карьерный капитал</kwd><kwd>социологическая теория</kwd><kwd>эмпирические исследования</kwd><kwd>Пьер Бурдье</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Zaslavskaya T.I.
