The authors show that in the Roman Republic the public opinion existed in the form of the ‘public tribunal’ of the Roman people that was respected, omnipresent, all-pervading and volatile.</abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru">В статье исследуется вопрос о формах проявления и роли общественного мнения в республиканском Древнем Риме.
