Set against a specific linguistic and translational background, the problems of equivalence, terminological (in-)congruence, nature of the source text and institutionalization of translation are discussed in order to draw attention to the particularities of the EU’s translational practice. Using a synoptic-interpretative approach, different ways of understanding EU discourse and translation are suggested in the paper.
Применяя синоптико-интерпретационный подход, автор выявляет различные способы понимания дискурса Евросоюза и переводческих практик.</trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>English as a lingua franca</kwd><kwd>EU texts</kwd><kwd>EU translation</kwd><kwd>interpretation</kwd><kwd>equivalence</kwd><kwd>terminology</kwd><kwd>source text</kwd><kwd>institutionalization</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>английский язык как lingua franca</kwd><kwd>тексты Евросоюза</kwd><kwd>перевод в Евросоюзе</kwd><kwd>интерпретация</kwd><kwd>эквивалентность</kwd><kwd>терминология</kwd><kwd>текст-источник</kwd><kwd>институализация</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Bednárová-Gibová K.
