It examines diverse participant perceptions of governmentality initiatives, highlighting the influence of socio-cultural and economic contexts. The research also assesses the impact of these initiatives on rural development outcomes, emphasizing improvements in infrastructure, community engagement, and socio-economic conditions. Challenges, including resource constraints and transparency issues, are explored, along with the pivotal role of community participation and effective communication. The findings underscore the significance of contextspecific approaches, community involvement, and addressing regional disparities in rural development. The study provides valuable insights for policymakers and practitioners, advocating for nuanced strategies that account for the unique characteristics of Nigeria’s rural communities. Recommendations encompass tailored approaches, transparency, capacity building, resource mobilization, and cultural preservation. By heeding these recommendations, stakeholders can enhance the effectiveness of governmentality-oriented initiatives, fostering sustainable and equitable development across diverse regions.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p style="text-align: justify;">Исследование затрагивает сложную динамику правительности (термин М. Фуко) в контексте развития сельских сообществ в Нигерии. Автор изучает разнообразные представления участников локальных инициатив правительности, освещая влияние социокультурного и экономического контекстов. Исследование также оценивает влияние этих инициатив на результаты развития сельской местности, акцентируя внимание на улучшении инфраструктуры, уровне участия сообщества и социально-экономических условиях. Исследуются вызовы, включая ограничения ресурсов и прозрачности, а также оценивается ключевая роль участия сообщества и эффективной коммуникации. Полученные результаты исследования подчеркивают важность контекстно-специфических подходов, вовлечения сообщества и устранения регионального неравенства в развитии сельских районов. Исследование предоставляет ценные инсайты для принимающих решения лиц и практиков, предлагая стратегии развития, учитывающие уникальные характеристики сельских сообществ Нигерии. Представленные рекомендации включают: индивидуальные подходы, прозрачность, развитие сотрудничества, мобилизацию ресурсов и сохранение культур.
