For these states, in the face of declining oil export revenues, the question of changing the “rentier model” of development is relevant. At the same time, the recommendations of foreign authors are not acceptable in many aspects, but their analysis allows us to approach problems of overcoming the “raw nature” of the economy more comprehensively.</p>
При этом рекомендации зарубежных авторов во многих аспектах не являются приемлемыми, но их анализ позволяет более разнопланово осмыслить проблемы преодоления «сырьевого характера» экономики.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>“rentier state”</kwd><kwd>“rentier economy”</kwd><kwd>oil exporting countries</kwd><kwd>world oil market</kwd><kwd>paternalism</kwd><kwd>stability</kwd><kwd>diversification</kwd><kwd>non-oil sector</kwd><kwd>economic structure</kwd><kwd>budget</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>«рентное государство»</kwd><kwd>«рентная экономика»</kwd><kwd>страныэкспортеры нефти</kwd><kwd>мировой рынок нефти</kwd><kwd>патернализм</kwd><kwd>стабильность</kwd><kwd>диверсификация</kwd><kwd>не нефтяной сектор</kwd><kwd>экономическая структура</kwd><kwd>бюджет</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Hossein M. “The Pattern and Problems of Economic Development in Rentier States: The Case of Iran”, in Studies in the Economic History of Middle East, ed.
