The authors consider psychological well-being as an integral characteristic of human states that ensure the consistency of mental functions and processes, the achievement of internal balance and subjective integrity. The aim of the study is to identify subjectively significant factors that, according to Russian and Armenian students, are associated with a sense of psychological well-being. The total sample included 234 respondents studying in provincial universities in Russia (130 persons, of whom 58 % were females and 42 % were males); and Armenia (104 persons, of whom 61 % were females and 39 % were males), aged from 18 to 25 years. The study was conducted on the basis of the methodology for assessing the psychological well-being of an individual developed by A.G. Samokhvalova et al . and the author’s questionnaire for revealing the subjective assessment of the factors of psychological well-being in the modern socio-cultural context. It has been found that the subjectively significant factors of psychological well-being of student youth in both countries are personal characteristics, current psycho-emotional state, social support and relationships with loved ones. In addition, the Armenian students associate their own psychological well-being with the situation in the world, the standard of living in the country, the norms and requirements accepted in the national culture, religious views, while for the Russian students the most significant factors are those related to the feeling of physical health, financial well-being, degree of success in significant activities, satisfaction with relationships with loved ones and with the study group.</p>
Кроме того, армянские студенты связывают собственное психологическое благополучие с обстановкой в мире, уровнем жизни в стране, принятыми в национальной культуре нормами и требованиями, религиозными взглядами, тогда как для русских студентов наиболее значимыми являются факторы, связанные с ощущением состояния физического здоровья, финансового благополучия, степени успешности в значимой деятельности, удовлетворенности отношениями с близкими людьми и с учебной группой.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>psychological well-being</kwd><kwd>subjective assessment</kwd><kwd>factors of psychological well-being</kwd><kwd>students</kwd><kwd>youth</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>психологическое благополучие</kwd><kwd>субъективная оценка</kwd><kwd>факторы психологического благополучия</kwd><kwd>студенты</kwd><kwd>молодежь</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><award-group><funding-source><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="ru">Исследование выполнено при финансовой поддержке РФФИ и КН РА в рамках научного проекта № 20-513-05005/21 «Теоретические и методические основы оценки психологического благополучия студенческой молодежи».</institution></institution-wrap><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="en">The study was carried out with the financial support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and the Scientific Committee of the Republic of Armenia as part of Scientific Project No. 20-513-05005\21 “Theoretical and methodological foundations for assessing the psychological well-being of student youth”.</institution></institution-wrap></funding-source></award-group></funding-group></article-meta><fn-group/></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Allport, G.W., &amp;bRoss, J.M.
