The contributions of cognitive styles, divergent thinking, and self-attitude to outgroup stereotyping and ingroup bias are studied. These contributions are compared in conditions of different artificial groups perception. The discriminant models of stereotyping and bias are constructed and analyzed in terms of cognitive variables and self-attitude. 155 students of the Perm State University from 17 to 22 years old (M = 18.90, SD = 0.96), including 113 females (72.9%) and 42 males (27.1%), participated in the research. The description of social groups was presented in specially constructed texts. The measuring of social perception was implemented with verbal procedures based on the understanding of bias as ingroup prototypicality and stereotyping - as a tendency to describe the Other through generalized features, rather than actual behavior. The selfattitude and cognitive variables were measured using standardized methods. It was found that the predominant contribution to stereotyping belonged to cognitive styles and, first of all, to the fielddependence. On the contrary, cognitive styles did not play the decisive role in the formation of ingroup bias (favoritism), while the indicators of self-attitude facilitated its manifestations. The divergent thinking significantly contributed to both stereotyping and bias. Its influence varied depending on the group type. These results could be useful in the development of psychological corrective programs aimed at reducing the negative manifestations of intergroup interaction.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В статье реализуется идея комплексного подхода к изучению социальной перцепции, которая рассматривается, во-первых, с позиций когнитивного и мотивационного подходов, а во-вторых, - как результат взаимодействия внутренних (характеристики субъекта восприятия) и внешних (характеристики объекта восприятия) факторов. Исследуются вклады когнитивных стилей, дивергентного мышления и самоотношения в классические феномены социальной перцепции - аутгрупповую стереотипизацию и ингрупповую предвзятость. Данные вклады сопоставляются при восприятии искусственных социальных групп разного типа: «этнических», «идеологических» и «статусно-стратификационных». Строятся и анализируются дискриминантные модели стереотипизации и предвзятости по совокупности когнитивных переменных и самоотношения. В исследовании приняли участие 155 человек, студентов 1-3 курсов Пермского государственного национального исследовательского университета в возрасте от 17 до 22 лет (M = 18,90, SD = 0,96), из них 113 девушек (72,9%) и 42 юноши (27,1%). Описание социальных групп предъявлялось испытуемым в виде текстов. Показатели социальной перцепции измерялись с помощью вербальных процедур, основанных на понимании предвзятости как прототипизации ингруппы и стереотипизации - как склонности описывать Другого через обобщенные черты, а не фактическое поведение. Самоотношение и когнитивные переменные измерялись с помощью стандартизированных методик. Было обнаружено, что в основе стереотипизации лежат преимущественно когнитивные факторы - индивидуально-стилевые приемы переработки информации. При этом ведущая роль в формировании стереотипизированного образа Другого принадлежит полезависимости. В формировании ингрупповой предвзятости (фаворитизма) когнитивно-стилевые особенности не играют решающей роли, в то время как самоотношение усиливает ее проявления. Дивергентное мышление вносит вклады как в процессы стереотипизации, так и предвзятости. Его влияние может содержательно варьироваться в зависимости от типа воспринимаемой социальной группы.
