This article explores the key milestones in the history and the current state of the National Music and Drama Theatre of the Komi Republic. The relevance of this work is determined by the need to introduce historical data about the theatre into academic discourse and to study previously unexplored material. Analyzing this material will expand the scientific understanding of the cultural life of the Komi Republic. The article attempts to comprehend the reasons for the theatre's founding, the formation of its repertoire, and the renewal of its productions. It identifies the theatre's role in the development of national drama and culture, and reveals its uniqueness and distinctive character.
Исследование посвящено анализу основных этапов развития, а также современному состоянию Национального музыкально-драматического театра Республики Коми. Актуальность работы обусловлена необходимостью введения в научный оборот исторических сведений о театре, изучения ранее не исследованного материла, анализ которого позволит расширить научные знания о культурной жизни Республики Коми. Предпринята попытка осмысления причин возникновения театра, формирования его репертуара, обновления его постановочного материала. Выявлена роль театра в развитии национальной драматургии, культуры. Раскрыта его уникальность и самобытность.
