The study provides a review and analysis of the Komi literary process of the 1920s in order to identify and define general trends and individual characteristics in the development of the national literature during this period. The objectives are to trace the chronology of literary events; to examine the main principles behind the creation and development of Komi poetry, prose, and drama; and to determine the role of writers such as V. Savin, V. Chistalev, V. Lytkin, M. Lebedev, and P. Doronin in the formation of Komi literature. The research is based on comparative, descriptive, and cultural-historical methods which allow for the most comprehensive presentation of the literary life of the Komi region in the first post-revolutionary decade. The 1920s are considered a separate period in the history of Komi literature. The material for the analysis comprised poetic, prose, and dramatic works published in author’s books and periodicals - in the journals Ordym (“the Path”), Komi mu (“the Komi Land”), and in collections and almanacs as Parma Jol (“Forest Stream,” 1922), Voj tӧv shuvgӧm (“the Noise of the North Wind,” 1921), Gӧrd pӧlyan (“the Red Pipe,” 1921), Komi gizhysyas (“Komi writers,” 1926). The analysis demonstrates that the 1920s were one of the most important, albeit complex and ambiguous periods that influenced the formation and subsequent development of Komi literature in the 20th century. An unprecedented surge in the creative activity of both young and experienced writers, and the development of all kinds and genres of literature occurred simultaneously with the tightening of state control over the literary process, by the end of the decade and the intensification of creative unfreedom, culminating in the mass repression of Komi writers in the 1930s.
Статья посвящена обзорному анализу коми литературного процесса 1920-х гг. с целью выявления и определения общих тенденций и индивидуальных особенностей развития национальной литературы данного периода. Автор представляет хронологию литературных событий этого периода, рассматривает основные принципы создания и развития коми поэзии, прозы и драматургии, определяет роль писателей В. Савина, В. Чисталева, В. Лыткина, М. Лебедева, П. Доронина и др. в становлении коми литературы. В основе исследования лежат сравнительный, описательный и культурно-исторический методы, позволяющие наиболее полно представить картину литературной жизни Коми края первого послереволюционного десятилетия. 1920-е гг. рассматриваются как отдельный период в истории коми литературы. Материалом для анализа послужили поэтические, прозаические, драматургические произведения, опубликованные в авторских и периодических изданиях - в журналах «Ордым» (Тропа), «Коми му» (Земля коми), коллективных сборниках и альманахах - «Парма ёль» (Лесной ручей, 1922), «Вой тöв шувгöм» (Шум северного ветра, 1921), «Гöрд пöлян» (Красная дудка, 1921), «Коми гижысьяс» (Коми писатели, 1926). В ходе проведенного анализа доказано, что 1920-е гг. - один из наиболее важных, но сложных и неоднозначных периодов, повлиявших на становление и дальнейшее развитие коми литературы XX в.: небывалый подъем творческой активности молодых и опытных писателей, развитие всех родов и жанров литературы происходит в нем одновременно с ужесточением контроля государства над литературным процессом к концу десятилетия, усилением творческой несвободы, завершившимся массовыми репрессиями коми писателей в 1930-е гг.
