His involvement with the theme is revealed in number of works and comprises problems of raising children, child's vocation, and infant's mortality, together with Lamb's own recollections of his childhood. Lamb's adaptations of world literature best samples, as well as books targeted at young readers are also regarded.В статье рассматривается тема детства как одна из важных для творчества английского эссеиста и журналиста Чарльза Лэма (1775-1834). Прослеживается интерес автора к вопросам воспитания детей, детского труда, детской смертности и к воспоминаниям из собственного детства.
