Using the case of South Africa, the adaptation of global Islamist ideas to the conditions of a secular democratic state with an ethno-confessional minority is explored. The research methodology includes a comparative analysis of sources, critical discourse analysis, and an examination of the activities of non-governmental organizations. The scientific novelty of the work lies in its comprehensive examination of the South African case through the prism of theoretical concepts of political Islam and the introduction of relevant and modern data, as well as local expert assessments, into scholarly discourse. It is concluded that in South Africa, socio-political and human rights forms of activism, integrated into the country’s legal framework, rather than revolutionary ones, predominate.</p>
Автором сделан вывод, что в ЮАР доминируют не революционные, а социально-политические и правозащитные формы активности, интегрированные в правовое поле страны.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>political Islam</kwd><kwd>transnational networks</kwd><kwd>South Africa</kwd><kwd>Muslim Brotherhood</kwd><kwd>political activism</kwd><kwd>non-governmental organizations</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>политический ислам</kwd><kwd>транснациональные сети</kwd><kwd>Южноафриканская Республика (ЮАР)</kwd><kwd>политический активизм</kwd><kwd>неправительственные организации</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta><fn-group/></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Al-Anani, K.
