Urban political studies provide extensive literature on the topic. Although there is no single definition of a city’s public space in academia, we can trace some common characteristics in the existing definitions: a city’s public space is mainly defined through spatial categories, linking them with the socio-political and cultural-value context. The article also provides basic approaches and conceptual schemes that justify the process of politicization of the urban space. It is also worth noting that the authors of the works under consideration use the casestudy method to identify the general patterns of this process.</p>
Этот метод характерен для накопления эмпирической базы для дальнейшего развития этой новой отрасли политической науки.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>public space</kwd><kwd>city</kwd><kwd>political urbanism</kwd><kwd>the right to the city</kwd><kwd>cultural and value context</kwd><kwd>social justice</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>публичное пространство</kwd><kwd>город</kwd><kwd>политическая урбанистика</kwd><kwd>право на город</kwd><kwd>культурно-ценностный контекст</kwd><kwd>социальная справедливость</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><award-group><funding-source><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="ru">Исследование выполнено при поддержке Минобрнауки РФ и ЭИСИ, проект FSSF-2023-0032 «Параметры российской цивилизации: суверенитет, солидарность, идентичность».</institution></institution-wrap><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="en">The study was carried out with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the EISI, project FSSF-2023-0032 «Parameters of Russian civilization: sovereignty, solidarity, identity».</institution></institution-wrap></funding-source></award-group></funding-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Arendt, H.
