Based on the analysis of the main theoretical approaches to party strength, the article proposes a method for its measurement, which can be used to measure and evaluate regionalism through the strength of regionalist parties in different political and institutional contexts. Comparing the levels of electoral and institutional party strength allows to highlight several tendencies: growth in electoral strength of UK regionalist parties during 2010s is noted, with stabilization of the institutional party strength; and the gap in the levels of institutional strength of the regionalist parties does not reflect the difference in the level of electoral strength. At the same time, the article mentions the challenges to assessing the strength of regionalist parties, namely, the need for detailed conceptualization of the qualitative characteristics of the party strength and the lack of analysis of the communicative and organizational elements of party strength.</p>
Вместе с тем в статье отмечаются вызовы, стоящие перед проблематикой оценки силы регионалистских партий: детальная проработка концептуального аппарата качественных характеристик партийной силы; анализ коммуникативного и организационного элементов силы партий.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>party strength</kwd><kwd>regionalism</kwd><kwd>regionalist parties</kwd><kwd>United Kingdom</kwd><kwd>electoral party strength</kwd><kwd>institutional party strength</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>партийная сила</kwd><kwd>регионализм</kwd><kwd>регионалистские партии</kwd><kwd>Соединенное Королевство</kwd><kwd>электоральная сила</kwd><kwd>институциональная сила</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><award-group><funding-source><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="ru">Исследование выполнено за счет гранта Российского научного фонда (проект № 19-18-00053 «Субнациональный регионализм и динамика многоуровневой политики (российские и европейские практики)») в Пермском федеральном исследовательском центре УрО РАН.</institution></institution-wrap><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="en">This work was supported by the Russian Science Foundation under Grant № 19-18-00053 “Subnational Regionalism and Dynamics of Multi-Level Politics (Russian and European Practices)”, Perm Federal Research Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.</institution></institution-wrap></funding-source></award-group></funding-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Ananieva, E.V.
