The research object is the sociopolitical foundations of sustainable development in China. Research subject is the problem of inequality as one of the obstacles to sustainable development in China. In the article, different aspects of the issue are reviewed in the context of sustainable development, especially through the requirements of the UN Agenda 2030. These aspects include income inequality, inequality in education and health care, gender inequality. It is shown that despite the improvement trend in some specific aspects, the inequality gap in China is still large, further reduction of the inequality level remains one of the main tasks for achieving sustainable development goals in China.

Объектом исследования являются социально-политические основы устойчивого развития в Китае. Предметом исследования - проблема неравенства как одно из препятствий для обеспечения устойчивого развития в Китае. В статье анализируется неравенство доходов, неравенство в сфере образования и здравоохранения, гендерное неравенство. Показано, что несмотря на тенденцию улучшения ситуации в некоторых областях, разрыв по-прежнему велик, снижение уровня неравенства представляет собой одну из главных задач для реализации Целей в области устойчивого развития в КНР.
