One of the major conclusions drawn in the article is that the late medieval interpretation of the biblical allegory as a predicative relation demonstrates the pertinence of the 14th century exegetical writings analysis in the context of the pivotal problem of the 20th century logic - the problem of the interplay between ontology and the logical analysis of language (B. Russell, G. Frege, etc.).Предметом исследования в настоящей статье является влияние логико-метафизических теорий Позднего Средневековья на герменевтическую методологию в экзегезе одного из самых известных толкователей Писания этого периода - Джона Уиклифа (1320/1324-1384), а также его предшественников и оппонентов. Одним из важнейших итогов проведенного в статье анализа является вывод о том, что позднесредневековая трактовка библейской аллегории как предикативного отношения обосновывает актуальность исследования экзегетических сочинений этого времени в контексте одной из центральных проблем логики XX в. - проблемы отношения онтологии и логического анализа языка (Б.
