The key problem is a fast and reliable electron/positron identification using the energy losses of charged particles in the Transition Radiation Detector. An analysis of the application features and a comparison of power of two methods to solve this task are given: an artificial neuron network (ANN) and a ωkn goodness-of-fit criterion. The choice of the approach based on the ωkn goodness-of-fit criterion is explained.
Обосновывается выбор в пользу подхода на основе критерия согласия ωkn.</trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>multivariate analysis</kwd><kwd>pattern recognition</kwd><kwd>CBM experiment</kwd><kwd>transition radiation detector TRD</kwd><kwd>selection of J/ψ → e+e− decays</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>многомерные методы анализа данных</kwd><kwd>методы распознавания образов</kwd><kwd>эксперимент СВМ</kwd><kwd>отбор распадов J/ψ → e+e−</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Compressed Baryonic Matter in Laboratory Experiments.
