It is shown that only the methodology outlined in the GOST R 53124-2008 “Propolis. Antimicrobial activity”, gives a correct result. The maximum antimicrobial activity has been detected in the sample from the Lugansk region, Ukraine. It has been established that the water-soluble portion of alcoholic extract of propolis has no antimicrobial activity.</abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru">Изучена антимикробная активность образцов прополиса из разных регионов с помощью нескольких методик. Показано, что только методика, изложенная в ГОСТ Р 53124-2008 «Прополис. Антимикробная активность», дает корректный результат. Максимальная противомикробная активность выявлена в образце из Луганской области Украины.
