The use of herbal medicinal products in patients with malignant tumors of the oral mucosa and maxillofacial region can be considered as one of the promising methods for the prevention and treatment of mucositis. The effectiveness of local treatment of mucositis may be identified through evaluation of hemomicrocirculation in the mucous membrane of the oral cavity. In 2016-2017 years, we evaluated microcirculation parameter (MP) of the oral mucosa in four randomly selected points from 23 patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the oropharyngeal region subjected to radiation therapy in combination with the use of long-acting plant-based medications. The study was performed in the “Russian Scientific Center of Roentgenology and Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The results confirm the efficiency of these drugs for the prevention and treatment of oral mucositis compared with the common methods of mouth irrigations with a decoction of chamomile and oleotherapy. Indicators of hemomicrocirculation in oral mucosa in patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the oropharyngeal region appeared to depend on the severity of the clinical manifestation of mucositis.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Мукозиты - одно из самых распространенных и тяжелых осложнений проводимого противоопухолевого лечения. Применение препаратов на растительной основе у больных с злокачественными новообразованиями слизистой оболочки рта и челюстно-лицевой области, в соответствии с определенной группой стоматологического риска, показывает хорошие результаты и может рассматриваться как один из перспективных методов профилактики и лечения мукозитов. Одним из методов, подтверждающих эффективность проводимого местного лечения, может служить определение гемомикроциркуляции тканей слизистой оболочки ротовой полости рта. С 2016 по 2017 год на базе Российского научного центра рентгенорадиологии нами проведено определение параметра ПМ микроциркуляции слизистой оболочки рта в четырех произвольно выбранных точках у 23 пациентов с плоскоклеточным раком орофарингеальной области до лучевой терапии, на различных ее этапах и после лучевой терапии на фоне местного лечения мукозитов с применением препаратов пролонгированного действия на растительной основе. Получены результаты, подтверждающие эффективность использования данных препаратов для профилактики и лечения оральных мукозитов по сравнению с распространенными орошениями ротовой полости отваром ромашки и олеотерапией.
