His views of American past and future, his utopic vision of the New world civilization contributed a lot in the American modernist sensibility and cultural nationalism.</abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru">Фигура Уильяма Карлоса Уильямса рассматривается в контексте эпохи, его мировоззрение и творчество сопоставляется со взглядами его современников - единомышленников и противников.
