This work has been the subject for a lot of research, the story however is not investigated within the framework of some allied sciences. An attempt to use linguistic, linguistic culture and literary criticism approaches has been made to analyze the story. The eleven theme groups were found and the linguistic units were picked up. Those units create the unique picture of Christmas festivities. The examples from the text are analyzed. Around one thousand language units describing Christmas are analyzed. The conclusion is made that the writer created the morally important, educating work. At the same time, he attracted attention to Christmas in Britain, criticizing the drawbacks of the society as well as in Victorian England. The palette of stylistic and language means is rich and wonderful.</p>
Палитра стилистических и языковых средств при этом богата и неповторима.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Charles Dickens</kwd><kwd>artistic text</kwd><kwd>holiday</kwd><kwd>humanism</kwd><kwd>semantics</kwd><kwd>thematic groups</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Чарльз Диккенс</kwd><kwd>художественный текст</kwd><kwd>праздник</kwd><kwd>гуманизм</kwd><kwd>семантика</kwd><kwd>тематические группы</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="en">Publication is supported by RUDN Programme 5–100.</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Публикация подготовлена при поддержке Программы РУДН 5–100.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Ahmanova, O.S.
