The paper considers the approach of the Natural Semantic Metalanguage (NSM), proposed by Wierzbicka for describing the semantics of kinship terms based on the use of lexical universals and shows the advantages of this approach in comparison with other methods of analysis. It demonstrates advantages of this method over other methods of semantic analysis, including overcoming eurocentrism tendencies in the analysis of kinship terms.
Показаны преимущества данного подхода перед другими методами анализа, в частности то, как он позволяет преодолеть евроцентризм в рассмотрении систем родства в не европейских культурах.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Wierzbicka</kwd><kwd>kinship terms</kwd><kwd>Natural Semantic Metalanguage</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Вежбицкая</kwd><kwd>термины родства</kwd><kwd>Естественный Семантический Метаязык</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Bierwisch, Manfred (1969).
